Our beloved Sister, Daughter, Mother and Grandmother Rosie Mendoza Martinez age 55 resident of Austin was called home to rest with the Lord on Wednesday February 27, 2002, after a lengthy illness.Rosie was born on March 4, 1946 in Austin to Esteban, Sr. and Rosa Vasquez Mendoza. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Bertha M. Williams and her Brother Jacob V. Mendoza.
Survivors: Brother; Steve Mendoza, Jr., Sisters; Lydia V. Mendoza, Maria Elena M. Rodriguez and husband Jesse, Aunts; Bacilia G. Mendoza, Jesusa V. Fuentes, Andrea H. Mendoza, Uncles; Pedro Montoya Vasquez and Alvino Mendoza, Sr. all of Austin, Father of her children? Santiago ?Jimmy? Martinez, Sr., of Austin, She was a devoted Mother to her Children; Jimmy Martinez, Jr. and wife Elvira of Austin, Connie Martinez Pinales of Austin and husband Raul Pinales of Round Rock, Paul Martinez and wife Maria of Austin, Paula M. Briones and husband Inocencio of Moran, TX., Benjamin Martinez of Albany, TX., Selestino Martinez and wife Stephanie of Mineral Wells, TX., Rosie M. Lockhart and husband Dewayne of Albany, TX., Elizabeth Vickers and husband James Kilgore, TX., Maria Lourdes Martinez and Stacy Hobbs both of Abeline, TX.. She is also survived by 24 Grandchildren and a host of Nieces and Nephews.
Recitation of rosary Sunday 7:30pm at the Mission Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:00am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
