Guadalupe V. Herrera of Marble Falls, Texas passed away suddenly at his residence on February 24, 2002. He was born in Austin Texas on December 11, 1941 to Rosalio E. Herrera and Victoria Vasquez Herrera.Lupe was preceded in death by his Parents and 2 Sisters, Ernestine and Cecilia Herrera. He is survived by his Sister Consuelo H. Acosta, 3 Brothers, Carlos Herrera and wife Loan, Ernesto V. Herrera and Gilberto V. Herrera and wife Amelia. He is also survived by 9 Nieces and Nephews and 3 Grand Nieces. Lupe was retired from the United States Navy, after serving 22 years, starting at the age of 17 as a Seaman, Retired as a Chief Petty Officer, served in the Vietnam War and various tours. He was an avid lover of the outdoors, his pride and joy was fishing. Visitation will be held Thursday February 28, 2002 at the Mission Funeral Home Chapel from 9:00am to 12:00pm, with a Prayer Service at 10:00am officiated by Carlos R. Alsina of Primera Iglesia Bautista. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the V.F.W. Post 10376 P.O. Box 292, Marble Falls, Texas 78654.
