Obituary of Edgar Guzman Sr.

Our Beloved Edgardo Guzman Sr., age 62, of Austin, Texas was called by our Heavenly Father on Monday, April 1, 2019.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan Guzman Sr. and Rosa Bonilla; and sister, Herlinda Guzman.

Edgar is survived by his children, Abbey Guzman (Antonio Ramirez), Edgar (Jessica) Guzman Jr., and Jennifer Guzman (Fernando Piña); siblings, Juan (Enedelia) Guzman Jr. and Irene (Jesse) Escamilla; 12 grandchildren; as well as numerous other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., Thursday, April 04, 2019, with a Prayer Service beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.  A Chapel Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, April 05, 2019, with Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S IH 35 Frontage Rd, Austin, TX 78704.

Family will be holding a benefit to cover additional expenses on Saturday, May 25th. It will be held in the Advance Auto Parts parking lot located at 2237 E. Riverside Dr.; Austin, Texas 78741, starting at 11 am.

$10 Plate includes BBQ Chicken & Sausage, rice, beans and drink.
