My sincerest condolences for Johnny’s family. May you find comfort in God’s loving promise at Revelation 21:3,4 “With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
We can look forward to a time when we will be reunited with those whom we love on a beautiful paradise earth, where there will be no more pain and we will enjoy true peace- Psalm 37:29.
If you would like to know more about this beautiful promise and the comfort God gives in the Bible you may go to www.JW.org

Johnny was a member of the UT track team at the same time I was. I always admired him so much because he made running fast look so easy. It never looked like work or extraordinary effort for him to make it down the track so quickly and so smooth. The most beautiful sprinter I have ever witnessed.
He was also a friend. So humble, kinda quiet and shy. I will miss him.

Johnny Jones was the most pure, natural runner I’ve ever seen. How else do you go from dropping down from the 440 to the 100 and end up on the Olympic team in less than 6 months? A great, God gifted talent that only comes along once in a lifetime. Always that pretty smile. A really nice guy all around.
