Obituary of Maria del Carmen Galvan

Our Beloved mother, Maria C. Galvan entered the gates of heaven on March 5, 2019.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 43 years Gregorio G. Galvan, parents Manuel Lizcano and Timoteo Ramirez Lizcano; her Daughter Guadalupe Rodriguez; son-in-law Daniel Rodriguez; and her sister Maria Del Socorro Valero.

She is survived by son Gregorio G. Galvan III and his wife Shany Galvan; daughter SanJuanita G. Martinez and her husband Rudy Martinez; son Robert Galvan and his wife Bonnie Galvan; son Carlos Galvan and his wife Rachel Aleman; daughter Dalia G. Nanez and her husband Joe Edward Nanez; daughter Martha R. Aleman and her husband Richard Aleman; son Ramiro Galvan and his wife Shenny Galvan; son Alfred Galvan and his wife Melissa Galvan; son Jesus Galvan and his wife Connie Galvan; 38 grandchildren; 76 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Manuel R. Lizcano, Maria Luisa DelaCruz, Jose G. Lizcano, Rosa Elena Gonzales and Juan Antonio Lizcano.

God gained an angel who was so humble and kind a warrior and fighter who would never turn anyone away. She loved deeply all of her family, friends and church Congregation, her spiritual pastor David Perez and his wife Yolanda Perez for their spiritual guidance. Her strength was truly one of a kind.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with Prayer Service beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Mission Funeral Home – South located at 6204 South First Street; Austin, Texas 78745. Visitation will continue at 9:00 a.m. with Funeral Services beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Victory Ministries, 2300 Canterbury Street, Austin, Texas 78702. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
