Obituary of Lupe Gaytan

Our Beloved Guadalupe “Lupe” S. Gaytan, age 89, of Austin, Texas was called home on Sunday, January 20, 2019.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 25 years Tirso Gaytan; her parents Santos Santana and Clara Salas Santana; and her brothers Arturo Santana, Osvaldo Santana, and Sam Santa Ana.

She is survived by her step-children Joe (Rosaria) Gaytan, Mary Landreth, Hector (Terry) Gaytan, and Sylvia (Paul) Schmidt; sisters-in-law Josephine Santana and Nellie Santa Ana; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends. The family would like to acknowledge the care provided to Lupe by her nephew Arthur and his wife, Janey.

Visitation will be held from 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. with Funeral Services beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Mission Funeral Home – South located at 6204 South First Street; Austin, Texas 78745. Graveside Services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery.
