Our Beloved David O. Luna Sr. age 78, resident of Austin, Texas was called by our Heavenly Father on Friday November 30, 2001.Survivors include: Beloved wife of 49 years Elena G. Luna, daughter: Linda Hernandez and Husband Joe, Son: Ricky G. Luna Sr. and wife Esmeralda. he is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. David served in the United States Army in the 11th Airborne Division from February 17, 1943 and was honorably discharged on December 19, 1945 as a Private First Class, he received the following decoration and citations: Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, Victory Ribbon, 3 Overseas Service Bars, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with a Bronze Str, American Theater Campaign Medal,Philippine Liberation Medal with one Bronze Star. The Luna family wishes to express their gratitude to St. David's Hospital for everything they did for him. Especially Nurse Connie Morales for her comfort and compassion. Serving as Pallbearers ar Grandsons: Joe Hernandez Jr., Michael Hernandez, Robert Hernandez, Albert Luna, Daniel Luna, and David Luna III.
