Obituary of Angel Z. Herrera

Our Beloved Angel Z. Herrera, age 90, of Austin, Texas was called by our Heavenly Father on Friday, November 16, 2018.

Mr. Herrera was well known in Austin, having served the community he loved, as The Head Waiter for the Onion Creek Country Club for 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of over 50 years Antonia Herrera; his parents Jose Herrera and Trinidad Zavala Herrera; his sons Henry and Johnny Herrera; and his sisters Juanita Rodriguez and Mary Segura.

He is survived by his children Maria Rodela, Felipe Herrera, Joe (Carmen) Herrera, Ray (Diana) Herrera, Irene (Tony) Castro, and Gina (Ruben) Gonzales; siblings Mike, Joe, and Victoria Herrera; 17 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and numerous other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 26, 2018 at Mission Funeral Home – South located at 6204 South First Street; Austin, Texas 78745. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday November 27, 2018 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
