Obituary of Christian John Anthony Cardenas

Our Beloved Christian John Anthony Cardenas, age 15, of Austin, Texas was called by our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, November 7, 2018.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather John Ernest Cardenas; great grandmother Pauline Torres Garcia; and his cousin Nicholas Ribera.

He is survived by his beloved grandmother Elida Cardenas; mother Sophie Deann Cardenas; Aunt Cindy (Anthony) Ribera; Uncle John (Christina) Cardenas; Uncle Tony (Larry) Norman Garcia; Uncle Christopher Lee (Loisa) Cardenas; Aunt Rose Garcia; cousins: Joshua and Matthew Ribera, Liliana and Isabella Cardenas, Angel and Benny Ochoa, John Christopher Cardenas, and Jonathan Herrera; and numerous other loving family and friends.

Christian was an avid fan of Stars Wars and had a great love for balloons. In his honor, The Cardenas Family is requesting that everyone attending his services, dress in festive colors. Please no black-unless you plan on dressing up as Darth Vader!

Pallbearers will be Matthew Ribera, Joshua Ribera, John Christopher Cardenas, Jonathan Herrera, Joey Osorio, and Ryan Osorio.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with a prayer services beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 12, 2018 at Mission Funeral Home – South Chapel, 6204 South First Street; Austin, Texas 78745. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am., Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Mission Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Austin Memorial Cemetery located at 2800 Hancock Dr., Austin, Texas 78731.
