Obituary of Joe C. Ruiz

Our beloved Joe C. Ruiz, age 85, resident of East Austin, was called to our Heavenly Father on Sunday, November 4, 2018.  He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Juan Ruiz, and Guadalupe Cantu; his son, Joe Manuel Ruiz, his sister, Otilia Marin, and his brothers-in-law, Joe Marin, Eloy Aleman, Vincent Rosas, and Fred Saucedo.  Mr. Ruiz proudly served our country as a member of the U.S. Army.

Joe is survived by his loving children, Daniel "Danny" Aleman, David Aleman and his wife, Christine, Ernest Aleman Ruiz and his wife, Carla, Rebecca "Becky" Aleman Ruiz and her husband, Paul Silva, Rudolfo "Rudy" Aleman Ruiz, and Esther Marie Ruiz and her husband, Jack Castro; 18 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren; his siblings, Annie Montana, Lillian Aleman, Beatrice Rosas, Leandro Ruiz and his wife, Guille, Mary Saucedo, John Ruiz, and Rachel Leal and her husband, Tomas; numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Ruiz, Guadalupe Paul Silva, Jr., Robert Aleman, Jacinto Noel Castro, Rudy Ruiz, Jr., and Joe Manuel Ruiz, Jr..  Honorary pallbearers will be Frankie Aleman and Timoteo Espinoza.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 7, 2018, at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St., Austin, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 8, 2018, at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, Robert T. Martinez St. & 2nd St., Austin, Texas.  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas.
