Obituary of Matilda C. Garcia

Our beloved Matilda "Tilly" Cantu Garcia, age 79, of Austin, Texas was called by our Heavenly Father on Sunday, October 7, 2018.

Tilly was preceded in death by her mother Dolores Lopez-Cantu; her first husband Margarito Garcia; sisters Nora Ramirez-Valencio & Cecilia Moreno; brothers Manuel Ramirez, Jesse Ramirez, Johnny Galvan, and Robert Cantu; children Janie Botello, Judy Garcia, and Joel Garcia; son-in-law Arthur Gonzales and daughter in law Sonia H. Garcia.

She is survived by her loving husband Rudy Leal; beloved children Helen Gonzales, Edward Cantu and wife Rene Williams, Manuel Garcia and wife Angie Abdala, and Michael Garcia; step-children Christi, Rebecca, and Rodolfo Leal Jr.; siblings Janie Martinez, Guadalupe Marie Galvan, Martin Cantu, and Jose Cantu; 19 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Mission Funeral Home - South Chapel, 6204 South First Street, Austin, Texas 78745.
