Obituary of Luis Parra

Our beloved Luis Parra, age 86, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Wednesday November 3, 1999. Survivors include: Son; Joe Luis Parra and wife Hilda, of Kerrville Texas. Daughter; Elvia O. Castro and Husband Joe Alvarez of Austin. Sisters; Guadalupe Parra , Esperanza Ramirez, both of Houston Tx., Brothers; Gustavo Parra of Monterrey Mex., Arturo Parra of San Antonio Tx., Juan Parra of Houston, Tx., and Gregorio Parra of Eagle Pass Tx.. Special Niece Norma Chavarria of Austin. 15 Grandchildren and 12 Great-Grandchildren. Preceeded in death by his beloved wife Enriqueta Ortiz Parra, Brothers Santos Parra and Fermin Parra Sr., and 2 Grandchildren Nancy Ortiz and Sarah Garcia. Special Thanks to the Seton-Luling Edgar B. Davis Hospital Nursing Staff and Dr. Martin Weiner for their excellent care and love given to our father during his illness.
Recitation of rosary Friday, Nov. 5, 1999 at 7:30pm at the Mission Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at 9:30am at Cristo Rey Catholic Church. Franciscan Friars will officiate. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Victor Rivas, Jose Parra, Gregory Parra, John Parra, Andrew Parra and Michael Chavarria.
Honorary pallbearers are Crystal Castro and Nancy Chavarria.
