Obituary of Zeferino L. Mendoza

Our Beloved Zeferino L. Mendoza, age 85, of Austin, Texas, was called by our Heavenly Father on Thursday, September 27, 2018.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years Lucy L. Mendoza; his daughter Theresa Portillo; and his 5 sisters.

He is survived by his daughters, Christine Mendoza Salinas and her husband, Joe, and Bekki Mendoza Torres and her husband, Rey; 10 grandchildren: Joe M. Salinas, Jerald James Salinas and fiancé, Marc, Erik Salinas, Brandon Salinas and Elly, Luis Torres, P.J. Romero, Angel Martinez, Michael Martinez Torres, Phillip Portillo, and Aimee Portillo; four great-grandchildren, Adelina Salinas, Eusebio Salinas, Gracie Salinas, and Mateo Salinas; sisters Jesusa Martinez and Jody Baron; brothers Encarnacion Mendoza Jr. and Johnny Mendoza; other loving family and friends.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, October 1, 2018 at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
