Our beloved Pete Mercado, Jr., age 45, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Sunday October 14, 2001. He was preceded in death by his Father Pete Mercado, Sr., Grandparents, Uncle and Aunts. Pete was a Truck Driver by trade for 28 years whom he loved dearly. Survivors include: Beloved wife; Margaret R. Mercado of Austin, Children; Jeannie Ann Garcia, Pete ?Lito? Mercado, III, Mary Rivera, Angela Marie Ancira, Fernando Martinez, Jr., Joseph Rendon and Rosalinda Villanueva all of Austin, Mother; Elena Castilleja and Paternal Grandmother Jesusa Gonzales both of Lockhart, TX., Brother; Ruben Mercado, Sisters; Cecilia Rodriguez and Josie Tobias all of Austin. He is also survived by 6 Grandchildren. Recitation of rosary Tuesday 7:00pm at the Mission Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 9:30am Wednesday at Dolores Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Ed Kadzieakwski will officiate. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Johnny Cedillo, Oscar Prince, Bo Ortiz, Efrain Tobias, Lee Leal, J.R. Leal and Jimmy Rodriguez.
