Obituary of Minnie Pena
Our beloved Herminia “Minnie” Peña, age 90, resident of Austin, Texas was called by our Heavenly Father on Monday, July 23, 2018.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of more than sixty years, Reynaldo "Rey" Acosta Peña; her parents, Antonio Sanchez and Juanita De Hoyos; her children, Ray Peña, Jr., Alicia Peña, Daniel Peña, and Melinda Peña; and her siblings, Gilbert Sanchez, Willie Sanchez, Antonio Sanchez, Pete Sanchez, Julia Rodriguez, Beatrice Vargas, Lisa Martinez, Regina Lara, and Lupe Maciel
She is survived by her children, Benny Peña and wife, Janie, Ray Peña Jr., and wife, Betty, Robert Peña and wife, Reni M., Tomas Peña and wife, Ana, and David Peña; 16 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren and her precious fur-baby, Princess. In addition, Minnie is survived by many nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Monday, July 30, 2018 with Recitation of the Holy Rosary to be held at 7:00 p.m., Mission Funeral Home, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday July 31, 2018 at Cristo Rey Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
