Obituary of Ivan Inez Vicinaiz
After a stoic battle with cancer, Ivan Inez Vicinaiz, 58, of Austin, TX went to be with the Lord on August 4. 2018.
Ivan was born and raised in Los Fresnos, TX and graduated from Los Fresnos High in 1978. Immediately following graduation he moved to the Austin area and began working alongside his brother and several friends. Eventually his work in the semiconductor industry allowed him to travel the world and later he was co-owner of IMTech, Inc. in Austin, TX.
Always a generous man and a wonderful cook, Ivan was often involved in charity events which helped many families in and around the greater Austin area.
Throughout his life, Ivan was an active sportsman; he enjoyed football, fishing, golf, softball and baseball. Ivan was a huge fan of the Houston Astros.
Ivan is survived by his wife of 31 years, Karyn Dzurko Vicinaiz, sons, Tyler and Trent Vicinaiz of Austin, TX, his parents Miguel and Manuela Vicinaiz of Los Fresnos, TX, his siblings Adrian Vicinaiz and wife Dominga, Froilan Vicinaiz and wife Leticia, Erika Barnes and husband Glen. Ivan is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends who became family-all who loved him dearly.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 5:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service and Memorial Visitation until 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 11, 2018, at Mission Funeral Home - 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St., Austin, Texas 78702.
This will conclude services.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or “charity of choice”.
The family would like to send a special thank you to the nurses of Hospice Compassus for the wonderful, loving care they gave to Ivan in his home.
