Obituary of Johnny Ray Porfirio Cardenas

Our Beloved Johnny Ray Porfirio Cardenas, age 31, of Waco, Texas, was called by our Heavenly Father on Wednesday July 11, 2018 in Austin, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Porfirio and Guadalupe C. Ramirez and Juan Nicanor Ortiz.

He is survived by his beloved mother Elizabeth Ramirez; his father, David Cardenas; his children Malakhi A. Cardenas, Saylor Monae Starts-Cardenas, and Unique Amir Ray-Cardenas; sister Alicia Galvez; nephew Quincy Taylor; niece Zariyah Taylor; grandmother Antonia Ramirez Garcia; step grandfather Raymond Garcia; aunts Delores Ramirez, Stephanie Reyes, Cynthia Gutierrez, and Veronica Moreno; uncles Steve Ramirez, Henry Melendez, Israel Moreno, Lavon Miller, and Marcus Daniels; close friends Clarence “CJ” Taylor, Lee Carter, Pete Patron, and Richard Ramirez; and numerous other loving cousins, family and friends.

Memorial Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday July 26, 2018  at Mission Funeral Home – South Side, 6204 South First Street;  Austin, Texas 78745. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday July 27, 2018 at Mission Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
