Obituary of Jose Guadalupe Sanchez

Our beloved Jose Guadalupe Sanchez, age 95, resident of Laredo, Texas was called by our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, June 27, 2018.  He was a great provider and a strong, loving father.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of over 50 years, Maria Mascorro Sanchez; his parents, Simon and Isaac Sanchez; his siblings, Salvador Castillo Sanchez and his wife Viviana, and Gonzalo Castillo Sanchez and his wife Maria Medellin.

He is survived by his children, Grizelda Cortez, Ildefonso Sanchez, Sara Alicia Sanchez, Rosaura Medellin and her husband David, Bertha Amelia Corsentino, Lucy Whitenight and her husband Douglas, and Mary Sanchez; nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Monday, July 2, 2018 with Recitation of the Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 p.m., Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 South 1st St.  Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1206 E 9th St. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
