Obituary of Juanita Ayala Rodriguez

Our beloved Juanita Ayala Rodriguez, age 89, was called to our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, May 8, 2018.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Ricardo Y. Rodriguez; her son, Richard Rodriguez her parents, Eulalio and Rosa Ayala; her brothers, Jesus Ayala, Canuto Martinez, Joe Treviño, and Frank Ayala, and her sisters, Ernestina Sanchez; Trini Romera, and Angelita De La Cruz. 

Juanita took great pride in her flower and vegetables gardens.  It would seem that she could grow anything, but flowers were her favorite, especially roses and impatiens.  She crocheted beautiful items that will forever be family treasures.  Juanita was known for her style; her clothes, her hair, her make-up always perfect.  She loved her old black and white classic movies and was always up for enjoying one with friends and family.  Her dogs, Nopalito and Cookie, brought her great joy and she spoiled them, almost as much as her grandchildren.  Juanita held to her faith, attending Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.  She loved her family with all her heart and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Juanita is survived by her loving children, Rachel Orta and her husband, Joe; Ruby Anguiano and her husband, Arthur; Robert Rodriguez and his wife, Linda; and Reyes G. Rodriguez and his wife, Denise; 14 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family, and friends.

Honored Pallbearers David Orta, Daniel Orta, Jeff Rodriguez, Robert Adrian Rodriguez, Joel Anguiano, Reyes Rodriguez, Joseph Anguiano, Andrew Orta, Reyes Lorenzo Rodriguez, and Ramon Diego Rodriguez.

Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m., Friday, May 11, 2018 with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St., Austin, Texas.  Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 12, 2018, Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1206 E. 9th St., Austin, Texas.  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
