Obituary of Rosa Gonzales Castro

Our beloved Rosa Gonzales Castro, age 69, resident of Austin, was called by our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, April 24, 2018. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arturo Gonzales and Felicita Arrellano; her siblings, Pedro Gonzales, Robert Gonzales, and Lupita Gonzales; her sister-in-law, Nora Gonzales; and her niece, Maria Mireles.

Rosa is survived by her beloved husband, Benny V. Castro, with whom she has shared 50 years; her children, Vicky Castro, Benny Castro, Jr. and wife Tiffany, Richard Castro, and Adam Castro; her grandchildren, Roland James Zamarripa, Jennifer Gonzalez and wife Ruby Arrellano, Carmelina Gonzalez, Benny Castro III and wife Jessah, Christina Carreira and husband Cory, Michael Castro and wife Hannah, Brianna Castro and Keegan Sudweeks; her great grandchildren, Ryan Arrellano, Kylie Burge, Benny R. Castro IV, Khyren Morquecho, Oliver Castro, and Evelyn Castro; her siblings, Dominga Mireles and husband John, Arturo Gonzales and wife Mercedes, Lupe Martinez, Julian Gonzales, Paula Rangel and husband Ben; her sister-in-law, Marty Gonzales; numerous nieces, nephews, other family, and many friends. 

Visitation will held on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 5:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St., Austin, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will follow on the next morning, Friday, April 27, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 2208 E. Second St. (at the corner of Second Street and Robert T. Martinez), Austin, Texas. Committal will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
