Obituary of Victorino "Victor Arrevalo Castillo, Sr.

Our Beloved Victorino “Victor” A. Castillo, Sr., age 82, of Austin, Texas, was called by our Heavenly Father on Thursday, April 19, 2018.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Encarnacion and Guadalupe Castillo; and brother, Gabino A. Castillo.

Victor is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Augustina G. Castillo; his loving children, Melinda G. Quiroz (Frank), Vickie Rene Nelson (James), Irene Castillo-Alonzo (Acencion), Damiana G. Monreal (Phillip), and Victor G. Castillo, Jr. (Angela); siblings, Marcos A. Castillo, Florence A. Castillo, Gloria C. Maldonado, Rudy A. Castillo, Robert A. Castillo, Encarnacion Castillo, Jr., Johnny A. Castillo, Frank A. Castillo, and Guadalupe Castillo; grandchildren, Vanessa Monreal, Desiree Monreal, Phillip Monreal Jr., Rosalynn Nelson, Matthew Nelson, Frank Quiroz, Jr., David L. Quiroz, Marisa Quiroz, Monica A. Quiroz, Eric Daniel Alonzo, Kathryn Victoria Alonzo, Delani M. Castillo, and Alyssa G. Castillo; great grandchildren, Faith Monreal, Trinity Brown, Hayden Brown, Carson Brown, Audrina Yett, London Yett, Jennavecia Gaytan, Arthur Gaytan Jr., Catalina Gaytan, Izreal Hernandez, Elijah Nelson, Alexavier F. Quiroz, Andrew J. Ibarra, Layla Arianna Miranda, Antonio Leonardo Cortez-Quiroz, Rodolfo Canaes III, and Xavier Lee Quiroz; and numerous other loving family and friends.

Serving a pallbearers will be Frank Quiroz, Jr., David Quiroz, Matthew Nelson, Eric Alonzo, Phillip Monreal, Jr., and Victor Castillo, Jr.

Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Victor Parra.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 9:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Mission Funeral Home – South Side, 6204 South First Street;  Austin, Texas 78745.   

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 23, 2018 at Dolores Catholic Church, 1111 Montopolis Dr., Austin, Texas 78741.  Interment will follow at Onion Creek Memorial Park, 11610 Chapel Lane, Austin, TX 78748
