Obituary of Conchita Menchaca

Our beloved Conchita Menchaca, age 81, of East Austin was called to our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, April 17, 2018.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Esmerejildo Menchaca, Sr.; her parents, Jose Carmen Gonzalez and Micaela Cortez Gonzalez, and her brother, Librado Ortiz Cortez.

Conchita is survived by her loving children, Antonio Saenz, Rojelio Sanchez and his wife, Margarita, Hermila Estrada and her husband, Jose, Oralia "Laly" Ruiz and her husband, Alex, Vidal Saenz and his wife, Bella, and Dora Vega and her husband, Gregorio; 15 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; her sisters, Jesus Ortiz Cortez and Josefina Ortiz Cortez, and her brother, Juan Ortiz Cortiz; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Honored Pallbearers will be Jose Pierre Estrada, Erik Ruiz, Aaron Vega, Albert Saenz, Xavier Saenz, and Derrick Vega.

Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, April 22, 2018 with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m., Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St., Austin, Texas.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 23, 2018, Cristo Rey Catholic Church, Robert T. Martinz and 2nd Street, Austin, Texas.  Interment will follow at Austin Memorial Park, 2800 Hancock St., Austin, Texas.

Nuestra amada Conchita Menchaca, de edad de 81, de East Austin fue llamada por nuestro Padre Celestial el martes, 17 de abril, 2018. Ella fue precedida en la muerte por so marido, Esmerejildo Menchaca, Sr.; sus padres, Jose Carmen Gonzalez y Micaela Cortez Gonzalez; y su hermano, Librado Ortriz Cortez. 

A Conchita le sobreviven sus hijos amados, Antonio Saenz, Rojelio Sanchez y su esposa, Margarita, Hermila Estrada y su marido, Jose, Oralia "Laaly" Ruiz y su marido, Alex, Vidal Saenz y su esposa, Bella, y Dora Vega y su marido, Gregorio; 15 nietos, 7 bisnietos; sus hermanas, Jesus Ortiz Cortez y Josefina Ortiz Cortez; y su hermano, Juan Ortiz Cortez; numerosos sobrinos, otros familiares, y amistades.

El velorio se llevara a cabo del domingo, 22 de abril, 2018 a las 3:00 p.m. con Recitacion del Santo Rosario empesando a las 6:00 p.m., en Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St., Austin, Texas

Santa Misa del Sepulcro Cristiano comensara a las 10:00 a.m. el lunes, 23 de abril 2018, en la Iglesia Catolica de Cristo Rey, la esquina de Robert T. Martinez y 2nd Street, Austin, Texas. Sepelio seguira en Austin Memorial Park, 2800 Hancock St., Austin, Texas.
