Obituary of Maria G. Valdez

Our beloved Maria G. Valdez, age 91, resident of Austin, was called by our Heavenly Father on Monday, April 2, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, Silvestre and Monica Moreno Garcia; and her sibilngs, Acencion Garcia Delgado, Vicente Garcia, Victoria Garcia, Benigno Garcia, and Gregorio Garcia.

Maria is survived by her only son, Rosendo Garcia; her grandchildren, Esther Munoz and husband Fredrick, Sharon Limas and wife Amy, Michael Garcia and wife Michelle Gonzalez, and Stephanie Gallegos and husband Jacob; 13 great grandchildren, and six great - great grandchildren; her brother, Benito Garcia; numerous nieces, nephews, other family, and friends. 

Pallbearers will be Alexander Castillo, Christopher Castillo, Adam Munoz, Luis Aguilar, Victor Garcia and Xavier Garcia.  Honorary Pallbearers will be John Castillo and Alfredo Garcia.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2018 with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 East Cesar Chavez Street, Austin, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be held the following morning, Friday, April 6, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. at  Dolores Catholic Church, 1111 Montopolis Drive, Austin, Texas. Comittal will follow at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville.
