Obituary of Tomasa Carrazco Rodriguez

Our Beloved Tomasa Carrazco Rodriguez, age 83, of Austin, Texas, was called by our Heavenly Father on Sunday, March 11, 2018.

Tomasa was a long time member of St. Julia Catholic Church and the Guadalupanas. Her children and family will fondly remember her and miss the “Whistle to come home”.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Albert Rodriguez; her parents Tereso Carrazco and Manuela Galvan Carrazco; her daughter Alice Leal; sister Louisa Castillo; and brother John G. Carrazco.

She is survived by her children Sylvia Rodriguez, Albert Rodriguez Jr., Teresa Martinez, Raul Rodriguez, Anthony Rodriguez, Tammy Rodriguez, Michael and David Rodriguez; sister Rosie Ruiz; close friend Jesse Villalobos; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 3 great -great-grandchildren; and numerous other loving family and friends.

The Rodriguez family would like to thank Jesse Villalobos for loving Tomasa and taking very good care of her; her sister Rosie for providing guidance; and to Dr. Malpani and the staff at Rosewood Wellmed Center for the amazing care you gave her. Also, a special thanks to Belinda & Sunny for providing her with a good home. You made her very happy!

Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Mission Funeral Home – South Side, 6204 South First Street;  Austin, Texas 78745. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 16, 2018 at St. Julia Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
