Obituary of George Ornelas

George Albert Ornelas, age 68, of Victoria, Texas passed away on Saturday, March 3, 2018.

George was born April 23, 1949 in Mathis, Texas. He enjoyed his work as a carpenter and was an avid fisherman and hunter. Most of his free time was spent on or near the water looking for his next great catch or enjoying the company of his family and friends.

George is survived by his two daughters, Connie Castilleja and her husband Henry Castilleja, Diane Saldaña and her husband Richard Saldaña; his son, Daniel Ornelas and his wife Beth Ornelas; honorary sons Jeremiah Clemons and his wife Claudia, and Joshua; 4 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; his sisters Jane Davila and Ramona Rivera; his brother Greg Ornelas; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary to begin at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday March 10, 2018 at Mission Funeral Home 6204 S. First St. Austin Texas, 78745.

This will conclude services.
