Obituary of Casey Alan Gonzales

Our beloved Casey Alan Gonzales, age 24, was called to our Heavenly Father on Friday, February 23, 2018.  He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Richard Barerra Vasquez; great grandfather, Charles Ray Hickey; his great aunt, Julia Cerda, and his cousin, Maximus Quintanilla.  Casey proudly served our country as a member of the United States Army.

Casey is survived by his young son, Casey John Raymond Gonzales; his parents, Casey (Kelly) Gonzales and Julie (Lamar Musson) Vasquez; the mother of his child, Alexis Camille Ybarra; his brothers, Trey Gonzales, Ryan Gonzales, Anthony Matamoros, and Michael Matamoros; his grandparents, Roy and Esther Quintanilla, Theresa and Richard Schirmer, Ray Gonzales, and Thomas Alan Irwin; his great grandmothers, Jeanette “GiGi” Hickey and  Susie Cerda; his aunts and uncles, Mishani Kasper, Caesar (Tanya Mills) Quintanilla, Kris (Christina Hinger) Quintanilla; Irene (Julian Carmine) Cerda, Martin and Sandra Cerda, Joe Cerda; cousins, Dylan, Jessica, Preston, and Madalyn Kasper, Caesar, Cash, and Cylee Quintanilla; Rory Quintanilla; Brandon, Natashia, and Feliz Torres; and Lori, Julia, Eric and Brian Cerda; and many other loving family and friends.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, March 4, 2018 with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.  Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 5, 2018, at St. Catherine of Siena, 4800 Convict Hill, Austin, Texas.  Interment will follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, 9:30 a.m., Thursday, March 15, 2018, San Antonio, Texas.
