Our beloved Raul Martinez Campos Sr., age 70, resident of Austin, Texas was born on September 22, 1930 in Bertram, Texas to Gilberto and Leonora Campos. Our Heavenly Father called him on Saturday, August 4, 2001. Mr. Campos served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean conflict and was cited the commendation ribbon for meritorious service. Later in life he retired from Economy Furniture after 38 years of employment. He is preceded in death by his wife Ernestina Campos, Mother Leonora Campos and brothers, Gilbert Jr, Alex, and Rudy Campos. He is survived by his father Gilberto Lopez Campos of Sealy, TX; daughters, Nora Martinez and husband Bobby, Norma Cobos and husband Ben; son Roy Campos Jr. all of Austin; brothers and spouses, Dardy and Patsy Campos of Burnett, TX., Joe & Shirley Campos of Tulsa, OK., John and Romey Campos of Sealy, TX; sister, Leonora Martinez of Sealy, TX. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude towards the nurses and staff of Brackenridge 9 west cancer center. Recitation of rosary Monday August 6, 2001, 7:30 P.M at the Mission Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday August 7, 2001 at 10:00 A.M at Cristo Rey Catholic Church. Franciscan Friars will officiate. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Serving, as pallbearers are Roy Campos Jr, Roy F. Campos III, John Savedra, Benny Savedra, Dardy Campos, Michael Savedra, Joe Santa Ana, and Anthony Campos. Honorary pallbearers are Daniel Martinez, Bobby Martinez, Ben Cobos Jr., George Navarro, Robert Campos, and John Gutierrez
