Obituary of Fred Perez

Fred Perez was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 9, 2018, at the young age of 59. His family was by his side throughout the way. He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Maria Mendoza Perez; and his baby sisters Elizabeth and Amelia Perez.

Fred is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Martinez; his two grandsons, Julian and Jadren Gonzales; his brothers and sisters, Carmen and Fidel Franco, Jimmy and Lori Perez, Rebecca "Becky" Perez, Albert and Linda Perez, and Maria and Dane Sullivan; numerous nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.

Freddy was a loving father, brother, grandfather and uncle.  He served in the United States Marines for 8 years, loved heavy metal music, and was a Longhorn and Cowboys fan at heart. He was a caring soul who loved his family, especially his grandkids. His great sense of humor will be dearly missed.

Honored pallbearers will be David Moreno, Daniel Moreno, Joe “Primo” Mendoza, Nathan Redford, Joe Gonzales, and Daniel Sullivan.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2018, at 5:00 p.m., with a Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m. at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 East Cesar Chavez Street. A Funeral Service will follow on the next morning, Friday, February 16, 2018 at 10:00 a.m., also at Mission Funeral Home - East Side. Interment will follow at Mendoza Cemetery.
