Obituary of Maria Mireles Soliz

Our beloved Maria M. Soliz, age 82, resident of  Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Monday, January 1, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Soliz; her parents, Jose Mireles de la Fuente and Bertha Mireles Martinez; and her siblings, Anna Maria Morales, and Antonio Mireles.

She is survived by her beloved son, Silvester Mireles and wife Roberta; her precious grandchildren, Marisa Bocanegra and husband Damian, Matthew Mireles and wife Erika, and Andrea Mireles and long-time boyfriend Jonas Rizo; her treasured great grandchildren, John Edward Bocanegra, Joziah Martinez, Elliana Martinez, Neveah Mireles, Noah Mireles, Ayverie Mireles, and Ayden Ramirez; her loving siblings, Felipe de Jesus Mireles, Teresa Mireles Stroger and husband Jerry, and Maria Guadalupe “Lupita” Mireles Quintero; numerous nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.

Maria’s family wishes to extend their sincerest thanks to the staff of Hospice Austin Christopher House for their dedicated and dignified care.

Vistation will be held on Monday, January 8, 2018, beginning at 5:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 East Cesar Chavez Street. Mass of Christian Burial will follow the next day, Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at San Jose Catholic Church, 2435 Oak Crest. Committal will follow mass at Assumption Cemetery.
