Obituary of Guadalupe H. Cantu-Fernandez

Our Beloved Guadalupe “Lupe” Cantu Fernandez, age 60, of Austin, Texas, was called by our Heavenly Father on Thursday, December 27, 2017.

She was preceded in death by her parents Manuel Agueo Hernandez and Juanita Cruz Hernandez and her siblings Manuel C. Hernandez Jr., Joe C. Hernandez; Pedro Hernandez, Lucy Mercado, and Victoria Garcia.

She is survived by her devoted Fiancé Carlos Fernandez; her loving children Michelle (Franklin Valdez) Cantu, Amy (Arthur) Torres, Manuel (Alessa Harwell) Cantu, and Adam (Denise G.) Cantu; brother Alejandro Hernandez; sister Elena Ayala; 9 grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday January 2, 2018 at Mission Funeral Home – South Side. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday January 3, 2018 at Dolores Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
