Obituary of Gonzalo L. Benavidez

Our beloved Gonzalo L. Benavidez, age 87, resident of Austin, Texas was called by our Heavenly Father on Thursday, December 28, 2017. Gonzalo was preceded in death by his parents, Fermin Benavidez and Jesusa Landeros; his siblings Rosa Benavidez Cortez, Jose Benavidez, Alfredo Benavidez, Celia Perez, and Esperanza Luebano.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Eva Carmona Benavidez; Sister Carrie B. Hernandez; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 29, 2017 at Mission Funeral Home – East Side, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 30, 2017, Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church 1206 E. Ninth Street, Austin, Texas. Entombment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, Austin, Texas.
