Obituary of Jose M. Rodriguez
Our beloved Jose M. Rodriguez, Jr. age 89, resident of East Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Monday, December 18, 2017. Jose was a lifelong resident of East Austin, and will be greatly missed by the community. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Anselma Rodriguez and his siblings, Eusebio Rodriguez and his wife, Julia, Guadalupe R. Osorio, Estanislado Rodriguez, Pauline R. Casarez and her husband, Francisco "Kiko", and Ramona R. Castillo and her husband, Eloy; and his sister-in-law, Dolores Rodriguez .
He is survived by his sister, Ms. Andrea Rodriguez of East Austin and brother, Mr. Ricardo Rodriguez of California and numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Mission Funeral Home – East Side, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 22, 2017, Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 2215 E. 2nd St., Austin, Texas. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, Austin, Texas.
