Obituary of Joe David Martinez

Our beloved Joe David Martinez, age 63, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, December 12, 2017.

Joe David was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Martinez and Lucy Salazar Martinez; his sister, Mary Frances Muzquiz; and his brother-in-law, Tony Ramirez.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Janie Gomez; his beloved children, Terry Ann and Gerard Caballero, David and Donna Guerrero, Christina Kerbow, Jorge Gomez and Melissa Kratz, and Amy Pina and Brandon Edmonson; 11 precious grandchildren and two treasured great grandchildren; his siblings, Rosemary Ramirez, Delia and Joe Louis Marron, Dolores Ann Ramos, Michael Anthony Martinez, Eugene Martinez, Stevie Martinez, and John Edward Martinez; numerous nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.  

Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Mission Funeral Home – East Side, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St. A Funeral Liturgy will begin at 10:00 a.m. at Mission Funeral Home on Monday, December 18, 2017.  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
