Obituary of Maria Mendoza Perez

Maria Perez was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 3, 2017 at the age of 77.   She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Manuel Perez; her infant's, Elizabeth and Amelia Perez; parents, Blas and Petra Mendoza; and her twin brother Jose; and her brother Narcisco Mendoza.

She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who took care of all she knew. She was a long life housewife who loved cleaning, ironing and cooking for her family. She always loved planting flowers and feeding her chickens outside.

Maria is survived by her six children, Carmen (Fidel) Franco, Jimmy (Lori) Perez, Freddie Perez, Rebecca “Becky” Perez, Albert (Linda) Perez, and Maria (Dane) Sullivan; siblings, Guadalupe Maria Tavarez, Antonia Segura, Olivia Ramirez, Juan Mendoza, and Frank Mendoza; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 8, 2017 with a Prayer Service held at 7:00 p.m., Mission Funeral Home – East Side, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St.  A Scripture Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 9, 2017, Mission Funeral Home – East Side.  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.

Honored pallbearers will be Nathan Redford, Andrew Sullivan, Daniel Sullivan, Alverto Perez, Fidel Franco and Joe Mendoza Jr.
