Obituary of Johnnie Mack Mokarzel

Our beloved Johnnie Mack Mokarzel, age 84, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Thursday, November 2, 2017.  He was preceded in death by loving wife, Arlene Mokarzel; his parents, Ayub Mokarzel and Charlotta Castro; his sisters, Marina Falcon, Soltanie Herrera, and Rosie Almanza; and brothers, Victor Mokarzel, Ayub Mokarzel, and Xavier Mokarzel.

Johnnie is survived by his loving children, John Samson Mokarzel, Sarah Mokarzel, John James Mokarzel, Cristina Mokarzel, and Zachary Mokarzel; several precious grandchildren; his brother, Father Galeb Mokarzel, OMI; his sister, Mariam Mokarzel; his sister-in-law, Senaida Mokarzel; numerous nieces, nephews, other family, and many treasured friends.

A Memorial Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary to be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, November 6, 2017 at Mission Funeral Home – East Side, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St., Austin, Texas 78702. 

Committal Services will be held at 10:45 a.m. on Friday December 8, 2017 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with U.S. Marine Corp Honors will be held at a late date.
