Obituary of Richard Pimentel Mendoza

Our beloved Richard Pimentel Mendoza, age 61, resident of Austin, Texas, was called to our Heavenly Father on October 30, 2017, surrounded by his loving family.  He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Oscar Reyes and Lina Pimetel Mendoza.  Richard proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army.

Richard is survived by his loving children, Jessica Martinez and her husband, Joe, and Richard Lee Mendoza and his wife, Nicole; his grandchildren, Christian Mendoza, Sophia Martinez, Benjamin Martinez, Alicia Mendoza, and Richard Lee Mendoza, Jr.; his siblings, Terri Gil and her husband, Ron; Sylvia Lopez and her husband, Jose; Sue Pena and her husband, Ron, Santa Delgado, and John Edward Mendoza; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to the staff members of Christopher House and Hospice Austin for their dedication and support.  In addition, the staff at St. David South Austin Medical Center and his Dialysis Center.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, November 5, 2017, with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m., Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 6, 2017, San Jose Catholic Church, 2435 Oak Crest Ave., Austin, Texas.  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
