Obituary of Angeles Gonzales

Our Beloved Angeles Gonzales, age 62, of Austin, Texas, was called by our Heavenly Father on Thursday, October 12, 2017.

Angeles was a decorated United States Marine who proudly served his country for over 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents Victoriano and Juanita Gonzales and his sister, Josie Hernandez.

He is survived by his son and daughter in law, Paul and Suzette Nava; daughter, Sara Gonzales; grandchildren, James Cisneros and Chloe Ruedas; the mother of his children and friend, Maria Nava-Neri; siblings, Henrietta Flores, Alfredo Gonzales, Victor Gonzales, Natividad Gonzales, Stella Gonzales, and Richard Gonzales; and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held from at 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with Moments of Reflection beginning at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Mission Funeral Home – South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas. Committal Services will begin at 9:45 a.m. on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with U.S. Marine Corp Honors.

The Gonzales Family will be having a Fund Raiser event on Saturday, October 21, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at 8525 Alum Rock Drive, Austin, Texas 78747.  BBQ Plates $8  Chicken, Sausage, RIce & Beans.  In addition, a GoFundMe page has been established to help with funeral and burial expenses.  Families helpting families is what makes a community, and our community is incredible.  Please come feed your family and help our family too!
