Padrino = Godfather; a person's Protector, Patron or Mentor. Growing up, that was Mr. Lopez for me, to a tee! He spent many, many years being surrogate dad to the Alfonso Ramos kids. If the Lopez's weren't traveling with mom and dad, they were always there (just across the street) for us. My best memories growing up include running across the street just to hang out with my Padrino and Madrina. Hearing the tick, tick, tick, tick coming from the TV on Sunday evenings will never be the same knowing the most faithful viewer of "60 Minutes" is no longer with us. Peace and Love for my Padrino, Mr. Lopez. Much Love for my Madrina, Mrs. Lopez & the kids. Anthony, Monica & Veronica, thanks for sharing your daddy with us. We loved him very much.
