Obituary of Eloisa Ojeda Limón
Our Beloved Eloisa Ojeda Limón, age 104, resident of East Austin, was called by our Heavenly Father on Monday, September 11, 2017. Mrs. Limón volunteered many hours with Seton and Brackenridge Hospital working with children and was a long time member of the Guadalupanas, but above all she was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Francisco “Frank” L. Limón, Sr.; her children, Frank “Pato” Limón, Jr., Evangelina Limón, Louis O. Limón, Sr., and infant Angelina Limón who passed away at birth; and siblings, Cecilio Ojeda, Francis Lopez, Rosalio Ojeda, Concepcion Castillo, Eva Martinez, Mucio Ojeda, Abelardo Ojeda, and Carlota Ojeda; son-in-laws, Navel Garcia and Lupe Barron; daughter-in-law, Dorothy T. Limón, and her parents, Mucio and Eva Colunga Ojeda.
Eloisa is survived by her children, Rebecca Garcia, Lucy Barron, Joe (Virgie) Limón, Deacon John “Canica” H. Limón, Martin (Yolanda) Limón, Johnny O. Limón, Paul O. Limón, Sr., Virgil (Diana) Limón; daughter-in-law, Mary Frances Cardenas Limón; her sister, Hortencia Lopez; 32 grandchildren, 68 great grandchildren, and 18 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Eloisa’s granddaughters, Jeni Limón, Dana Limón Smith, Elaine Matthews, Marcie Guillen, Jeanette Barron, Yolanda Garcia Corpus, Monique Limón, Darian Limón, and Victoria Limón for the excellent love and care they provided for many years. In addition, a special thank you to her primary care providers, Pauline Salas Nino and Johnny Limón.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 15, 2017, , St. Julia Catholic Church, 3010 Lyons Road. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, September 16, 2017, also at St. Julia Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
