Obituary of Benson Briseño

Our beloved Benson Briseño, age 29, resident of Austin, Texas, was called to our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, August 23, 2017.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Christopher “Woody” Matthew Briseño and his grandparents, Mary Ruth Rivera Briseño, Sam Briseño, Lupe Moreno, and Estefana “Frannie” Mendoza Moreno.

 Benson is survived by his loving wife of 8 years, Bianca Delgado; daughter Sophia Lynn Briseño; his beloved parents, Leonard and Janie Briseño; his brothers and sister, Leonard (Coryell) Briseño, Anthony Briseño, Stephen (Briceyda) Briseño, and Lilie (Joe) Melendez; his nieces and nephews, Lilian Melendez, Daisy Melendez, Christopher Briseño, William Briseño, Brooke Briseño, Adriana Briseño, Stephen Briseño, Jr., Sam Briseño, Selena Briseño, Stephanie Briseño, Lillianna Briseño, and Adan Vasquez, and many other loving family and friends.

The Briseño Family is honored to have Felix Tenorio, Anthony Briseño, David Ruiz, Robert Guerra, Rene Torres,  and Joe Luis Melendez serve as Pallbearers; and Jake Nuncio, Juan Cebrian, and Eric Ramirez as Honorary Pallbearers.

 Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, August 31, 2017 with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., Mission Funeral Home – East Side, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St., Austin, Texas.  Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 1, 2017, Cristo Rey Catholic Church, Robert T. Martinez St., Austin, Texas.  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
