Obituary of Mary Ann Rose Justman

Please share a memory of Mary to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Our beloved Mary Ann Rose Justman, age 72 years, and long time resident of Austin, embarked on her journey on Monday, August 14, 2017.

Born in Dallas, Texas on January 27, 1945 she spent much of her life in the mountains of Colorado before moving to Austin. She was a mother, a gardener, a chef, a fisher woman, a face painter, a beekeeper, a philanthropist, an environmentalist and a community organizer.  She did so much good while on this earth, and her spirit will live on in those of us who were lucky enough to know her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Washington Rose II and Sue “Grand Sue” Gill Rose; and her brothers, John Glandville Rose and Edward Washington “Rusty” Rose III.

Mary Ann is survived by her children, Katherine Crumpacker, Cully Crumpacker, Tessa Justman, and Lilly Justman; her sister Sue Gill Rose; many nieces, nephews, other family, friends, and her beloved pup, Sunny. She is and will continue to be dearly missed.
