Obituary of Janie Marie Casas
My beloved wife, age 62, was called to our Heavenly Father on Monday, August 14, 2017. She passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Audon Barron and Consuelo Serna.
She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Joe Casas; her son, Joe Casas, Jr., his wife, Cynthia, and their daughter Olivia Jade; her siblings, Daniel (Sylvia Figueroa) Barron, Elizabeth (Rick) Gonzales, Lydia (Hector) Chavez, Yoland Ybarra, and Patricia (Armondo) Castillo; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.
Janie Marie was lovingly dedicated to her family and her faith. She retired after 32 years with AISD. She was a doting grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, August 17, 2017 with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., Mission Funeral Home – East Side, Austin, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 18, 2017, Dolores Catholic Church, 1111 Montopolis Dr., Austin, Texas. Interment will follow at Onion Creek Memorial Park.
