I am so sorry to hear of Alfreds passing. I just heard of it after his funeral. I remember him from Zavala, always in trouble. Then from ASJ and when he joined the service. Then many years later at Guadalupe when I actually began to know him. Sincere condolences from my husband and I.

I want to tell the family that Alfred will always have a special place in my heart as I know he loved my son Stephen and he in turn had a love for Alfred, they were friends. He also became my friend especially during my difficult time of my divorce and the loss of my mother. I remember when Alfred and Emily first moved into the Zilker neighborhood as I was a teenager and you all had the dog "Bandit". I apologize for not being present for the ceremony but have prayed for his sol and said my words to him in that prayer.
My sympathy to Emily, Christine and Carolyn on the loss of your father, God Bless.

I had the pleasure of working with Alfred (Mr. Calvo) for several years. His perspective was truly unique in this day and age he just wanted to do the best he could. He told me more than once how blessed his life was and how grateful he was for his family.

Estimados familiares,
Sinceramente,
Familia Martinez

Crissy I want you to know that my prayers are with you and your family my dear friend. I wont pretend to have words to lessen your sorrow but you know I love you and I am here for you in any capacity you need me. I love you guys so much. It breaks my heart to know you are hurting. Im no stranger to death and I can say for certain we get through it and when we focus on the love and life they gave us, that it is possible to smile and rejoice in the joy and memories our loved ones gifted us with.

He was my co-worker at Walnutcreek. We had many conversations about the true meaning of life and happiness.
I will never forget his wonderful laugh and his spoken love for his family and God. See ya when I get up there!
And thanks again for the pocket knife!

Alfred worked at Walnut Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant for many years. We loved Alfred and thank God for blessing us with him. He was a tremendous employee. A true role model at work. He always had his shoes shined to Marine Corps standards. Amazing! He was as faithful and reliable as any employee we have ever had. We have missed him ever since he retired. We're sorry for your family's loss of a great man.
