Obituary of Louis O. Limon, Sr.

Our Beloved Louis O. Limon, Sr., age 73, of Austin, Texas, was called home by our Heavenly Father, on Monday, August 7, 2017.  He passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Francisco “Frank” L. Limon, Sr.; his brother Frank Limon, Jr.; his sister, Evangelina Limon; brothers-in-law, Navell Garcia, Sr. and Lupe Barron, and his sister-in-law, Dorothy Limon.  Mr. Limon proudly served our country as a member of the United States Navy.

Louis is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Mary Frances Cardenas Limon; his dear mother, Eloisa Ojeda Limon; his loving children, Louis (Maria) Limon, Jr., Derrick (Daphiney) Limon, Denise (Edward) Venegas; his siblings, Rebecca Garcia, Lucy Barron, Joe (Virgie) Limon, John “Canica” H. Limon, Martin (Yolanda) Limon, John O. Limon, Paul O. Limon, Sr., and Virgil (Diana) Limon; his precious grandchildren, Chelsea (David) Lopez, Kristie Limon, Eric Limon, Tony Santos, Samantha (Michael) Limon, Nicholas Limon, Zachery Limon, Jeremy (Monique) Urdy, Alexis Venegas, Brandon Venegas, Cody Venegas, Avery Venegas; great grandchildren: Madison Lopez, Mason Lopez, Madalyn Lopez, Olivia Serrano, Jazzy Urdy, Jayla Urdy, and Aiden Mojica, as well as numerous other loving family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Navell Garcia Jr., Ricky Barron, Joe Michael Limon, John Henry Limon, Phillip Limon, Lonnie Limon, Bobby Garcia, David LaRocca, and Paul Limon Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Frank Perez, Edward Venegas, Anthony Limon and Wayne Limon. 

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 10, 2017, Mission Funeral Home – South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.   Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 11, 2017, at St. Julia Catholic Church, 900 Tillery St., Austin, Texas.  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
