Obituary of Andres Guevara Armendarez

Our beloved Andres Guevara Armendarez, age 81, resident of Austin, Texas, was called to our Heavenly Father Wednesday, July 19, 2017. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vicente Armendarez and Trinidad Guevara, and his siblings, Alvaro Almendarez, Manuela Lopez, and Vicente Vargas.

Andres is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Adula Mendez Armendarez; his children, Andres "Andy" Armendarez, Castula (Roy Guzman) Armendarez, Ernesto Armendarez, and Diana (Chris Lopez) Diaz; grandchildren, Esmeralda Herrera, Anjanicca Guzman, Victoria Guzman, Taviana Guzman, Analiyah Guzman, and Israel Armendarez; great grandson, Diego Cruz; his siblings, Roy Almendariz, Leonel Almendariz, Joel Almendariz, Paz Almendariz, Ascencion Almendariz, Paulina Almendariz, Delfina Almendariz, Antonio Vargas, Javier Vargas, Gustavo Vargas, and Jose Luis Vargas; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Angie Guzman, Victoria Guzman, Taviana Guzman, Paul Arzola, Analiyah Guzman, Esmeralda Herrera, Roy Guzman, and Diego Cruz.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, July 23, 2017, with Recitation of Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m., Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St., Austin, Texas.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 24, 2017, Dolores Catholic Church, 1111 Montopolis St., Austin, Texas.  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
