Obituary of Dominga C. Salinas

Our beloved Dominga C. Salinas, age 79, resident of Buda, Texas was called by our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, June  27, 2017.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Pedro Castilleja and Braulia Calderon Castilleja; her loving husband Jimmy G. Salinas, Sr.; her son David Salinas; her siblings Placita Cardenas and Pete Castilleja, Jr.; and sister-in-law, Stella Castilleja.

Dominga is survived by her beloved children Jimmy Salinas, Jr., and  Irene Castro and husband Edward; precious grandchildren Jessica Gonzalez and husband Edward, Monique Mendoza and husband Chris, Steven Salinas, Michael Salinas and wife Michelle Gonzalez, Daniel Salinas and wife Ashley Vasquez, Edward Castro, Jr. and wife Laynie,  and Adam Michael Castro; 15 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; her brother Frank Castilleja, Sr.; numerous nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.

Honored Pallbearers will be Edward Castro, Sr., Edward Castro, Jr., Adam Castro, Steven Salinas, Daniel Salinas, and Michael Salinas.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 5:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home – East Side, 1615 East Cesar Chavez Street, Austin, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be held the following morning at 10:00 a.m. at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, at the corner of East Second Street and Robert T. Martinez Street. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
