Obituary of Janie Botello
Our Beloved Janie Botello, age 60, of Austin, Texas, was called home by our Heavenly Father, on Tuesday, June 27, 2017.
She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Juanita Botello; her father-in-law, Jose Botello; and her brother-in-law, Arthur Gonzales.
Janie is survived by her beloved husband of 45 years, Jimmy Botello; her mother, Matilda Cantu Garcia (Rudy Leal); her loving children, Joel Cantu, Joshua (Miriam Ochoa) Cantu, Floyd (Stephanie) Botello, and Camy (Oscar) Vera; her siblings, Edward (Renee Williams) Cantu, Helen Gonzales, Michael Garcia, Judy Garcia, and Manuel (Angie) Garcia; 13 grandchildren; her best friend of 27 years, and her husband, Maggie and Jose Luis Cano, and their two daughters, whom Janie helped to raise; and numerous other loving family and friends.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary to begin at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, July 2, 2017, at Mission Funeral Home – South Side, 6204 South First Street, Austin, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday July 3, 2017, at St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church, 126 W. Oltorf Street, Austin, Texas 78704. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
