Obituary of Robert C. Guzman
Robert C. Guzman was born in Austin, Texas on May 30, 1940 and was called to his heavenly home on June 13, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank Guzman and Vera Guzman and his sister Patsy Rivera.
Robert is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary H. Guzman and his three daughters, Vera Montecillo, Ida Santa Ana, Irene De La Rosa and one son, Robert Guzman Jr., He has three brothers, Frank, George and Pete Guzman, 19 Grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, all of Austin; numerous nieces, nephews, godson, son and daughter in law, other loving family and friends.
He was born and raised in Austin, Texas. He always worked 2 jobs to provide for his children, and retired from Motorola. His home was always open to everyone. He was a chef at work they called him "Chop Chop" because he was fast and loved to cook for everyone especially his wife and family. He would always say he was a man made of steel, and he would refer to himself as Superman.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 20, 2017 with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St., Austin, Texas.
A Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 21, 2017, Mission Funeral Home - East Side. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
