Obituary of Baby Leylani Susan Jaimes

Our beloved Leylani Susan Jaimes, age 7 months; 29 days, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Sunday, May 7, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.  She was preceded in death by her Great-Great Grandfather, Manuel Serrano and her aunts, Christine Serrano and Susan Saldivar.

Leylani is survived by her loving parents, Alejandro “Alex” Jaimes and Savannah Gutierrez; her grandparents, Alicia Serrano and Paul Davila; Jesse Guiterrez; Adelaida Moreno and Christopher Hernandez; her great-grandmothers, Christina Serrano, Maria L. Cruz, and Priscilla Garcia; great-grandfather, Jose Moreno; her great-great grandmother, Cecilia Serrano; her aunts, Anahi Chavarrias and Vivian Jaimes and Joshua Gaulding; her uncle, Jose Moreno; numerous cousins and other loving family.

Savannah, Alex, and family would like to offer a very special thank you to Trisha, Misty, and the staff at St. David’s Hospital (32nd Street) for their love and devotion to helping us care for Leylani. 

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, May 11, 2017 with Recitation of Holy Rosary held at 7:00 p.m., Mission Funeral Home – East Side, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St.  Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 12, 2017, St. Julia Catholic Church, Tillery and Lyon St.,  Austin, Texas.  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
