Obituary of Michael Esparza

Our beloved Michael Esparza, age 54, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Thursday, April 27, 2017.

Michael is survived by his parents, Salvador Esparza and Julia Navarro Esparza; his sisters Delma Castillo and husband John, Laura Martinez and husband Jesse, and Annette Esparza; his nieces and nephews Denise Rebolloso, Danyelle Arbuckle and fiancé Frank Guerrero, Alaina Martinez, Claudea Martinez, Emilee Martinez, and Matthew Esparza; his great nieces and nephews Jonathan Alvarado, Gabriel Martinez, Isabella Martinez, and Leo Alvarado and numerous beloved cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

Our beloved Michael was a self-employed plumber who used his skills and personality as a community advocate for organizations and events promoting local youth and young adults. He volunteered many hours with American Youth Works and was the previous Governor of Austin Moose Lodge Number 1735. His loss will be felt throughout the community.

Honored Pallbearers will be Joel Leyendecker, Robert Salgado, Chris McDowell, Jason Ledesma, Timothy Cruz, and Ernest Luna.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Monday, May 1, 2017 with Recitation of Holy Rosary held at 7:00 p.m., Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 South First Street, Austin, Texas.  Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at San Jose Catholic Church, 2435 Oak Crest, Austin, Texas.  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
